The Bible tells the story of Peter and John speaking to the Pharisees, the rulers, elders, and scribes about Jesus. They said –
“Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” – Acts 4:12
This disturbed them because hey knew it was true but they didn’t want to hear it so, they said –
“But so that it spreads no further among the people, let us severely threaten them, that from now on they speak to no man in this name.” – Acts 4:17 Continue reading
The concept of Transgender ism is much in the news today but what does God say about it? Jesus answers this question with a finality that should display the falseness of this concept.
“And He answered and said to them, “Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female, and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.” – Matt. 19:4-6
Man and Woman – 2 Genders
When God created Man and Woman He left a record of it that is given in the Book of Genesis –
“But for Adam there was not found a helper comparable to him. And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place. Then the rib which the LORD God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man. And Adam said: “This is now bone of my bones And flesh of my flesh; She shall be called Woman, Because she was taken out of Man.” – Gen. 2:20-23
Now mankind has assumed the role of God in stating there are not just two genders, but many! And they are even using drugs to change little children into transgender models. They are using the drug Leuprolide, which includes Lupron and similar drugs used by gender clinics, even though these drugs have been have been linked to 6,000 deaths. Continue reading
Truth is a precious commodity and much of our lives depend upon it; justice, righteousness, and equity to name a few. Jesus even taught that our very freedom depended upon it.
“Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” – John 8:31,32
He also prayed for His disciples –
“Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.” – John 17:17
The word ‘sanctify’ means ‘to set apart‘. That means they would be different than other people. That is why our Founding Fathers, who were believers in the Bible, set such a high priority on free speech, making it the first Amendment to the Constitution. It’s one of the things that sets our country apart from most others in the world , certainly socialistic and communistic countries. It is why we have such a free Press. But, what is it that gives us this advantage? The Truth! Continue reading
Christians need to speak out on the issues facing us.
We are facing a war, a war of ideas and the outcome will be life changing for all of us. I do not elect to remain silent, even though many will think this war is too political and Christians should be only concerned with the spiritual and confined inside the four walls of their churches. That however, was not the attitude of early preachers. During the revolution well over 50% of sermons were political and they clearly showed the effect of the spiritual on the political. It has been a trick of the devil to mussel preachers of the Gospel by telling them to not endorse a political candidate or speak on controversial topics. So here goes! The Bible states – Continue reading
Practicing lawlessness is a serious offence to God and those who do it will suffer serious consequences. Hear the words of Jesus, the Son of God.
“The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.” – Matt. 13:41,42 Continue reading
We are all dependent upon the root of Jesse, Jew and Gentile alike. The Jews are the ‘natural branch’ and the Gentiles are the ‘wild branch‘ that was grafted in. Paul writes –
“And again, Isaiah says: “There shall be a root of Jesse; And He who shall rise to reign over the Gentiles, In Him the Gentiles shall hope.”” – Rom. 15:12
God is the God of all people and He always planned to bring them together into one in Jesus, who is the ‘Root of Jesse’ – Continue reading
