President Trump has recognized Jerusalem as the eternal capital of Israel and has scheduled the move of the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. And he seems to have the support of several Arab nations, including Saudi Arabia, for this move. The President’s Son in Law, Jared Kushner, has been negotiating a new Middle East peace plan that he hopes will settle the Palestinian issue once and for all. The President recently hinted that this recognition would cost Israel and they would have to “pay a higher price”. Now I know the phrase ‘kings of the east’ could refer to any number of nations; India, Russia or China for example. Psalm 83 – Is It about to Happen?
In 2014 I wrote a 4 part series of articles titled 26 Signs on the Lord’s Soon Return. It isn’t that these signs have not happened throughout history but, that they all are happening together right now, and in ever increasing frequency. This is the warning Jesus gave, that they would be like birth pangs getting closer together and more intense until the time of the delivery.
“All these are the beginning of sorrows (lit. birth pangs)” – Matt. 24:8
If you haven’t read this series, I urge you to do so. But, there is another topic I want to concentrate on in this article – it is Psalm 83. This psalm was written by Asaph who besides being King David’s worship leader was also a prophet. Many believe Psalm 83 is a prophecy of a war that has not yet happened and I have written about it before. But, whether that is true or not, Psalm 83 certainly describes events happening right now and it may well lead into the war of Ezekiel 38, 39 . Continue reading
Watch and Pray
As trouble builds in the world, especially over Jerusalem, and as many heavenly signs are appearing, such as Blood Red Moons, Blue Moons, Rev; 12 signs of Virgo etc., many are wondering anew about the coming of the Lord that has been long predicted. Indeed these signs were meant by God to alert and awaken our attention. Jesus taught just such a reaction –
“Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.”– Luke 21:36
Zechariah Speaks to our Day
“So the angel that communed with me said unto me, Cry thou, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy. And I am very sore displeased with the heathen that are at ease: for I was but a little displeased, and they helped forward the affliction. Therefore thus saith the LORD; I am returned to Jerusalem with mercies: my house shall be built in it, saith the LORD of hosts, and a line shall be stretched forth upon Jerusalem.” – Zechariah 1:14-16
Preparation for the Battle Ahead
As we near a new year, it would be beneficial to consider what God has been saying to us these last few years.
“You will be punished by the LORD of hosts with thunder and earthquake and great noise, with storm and tempest and the flame of devouring fire.” – Isa. 29:6
“And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring;” – Luke 21:26
“By swearing and lying, killing and stealing and committing adultery, they break all restraint, with bloodshed upon bloodshed. Therefore the land will mourn; and everyone who dwells there will waste away with the beasts of the field and the birds of the air; Even the fish of the sea will be taken away.” – Hosea 4:2,3
