“Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars. Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth. And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads. His tail drew a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to give birth, to devour her Child as soon as it was born. She bore a male Child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her Child was caught up to God and His throne. Then the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there one thousand two hundred and sixty days.” – Rev. 12:1-6

This Scripture was likely fulfilled September 23 of 2017 as the planet Jupiter, the king planet, went into retrograde and exited Virgo September 23, 2017. The constellation Draco, the Dragon, was right above spewing out falling stars, the Draconid meteor shower, during that time. Also the planets of our solar system were in perfect alignment for the first time in several thousands years on that date.The constellation Draco covers one third of the night sky.

We know that the woman represents Israel and we know that Israel bore Jesus the Messiah who was caught up to God in the heavens. But, this scene is predicting His second coming as well, as Jupiter, the King planet, leaves Virgo on its way to meet Mars in the constellation Taurus, the Bull. The Hebrew name for Taurus is Shur which means the coming judge. The Hebrew name for Mars is Ma’adim which means the red One or the Son of Man. Tarus contains another constellation know as the Pleiades which means the Congregation. The clear meaning is “The Son of Man comes to judge with His Congregation” or the Lord’s Second Coming. This event takes place exactly seven years from the Virgo event on August 13, 2024. God is warning us of soon coming events.

What is happening between these two heavenly events? Revelation tells us –

“And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. ” – Rev. 12:7-10

We think that evil is bad now but, it will get much worse. We think that it is dark now but it will become ‘gross darkness’. God has been trying to prepare us for these times and to equip us for this battle.

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” – Eph. 6:12

Our battle is not against people but, Satan’s kingdom. If people continue to choose evil rather than good, then they will choose their own destruction. We do not have to destroy them – God will! Our weapons are mighty for pulling down strongholds of Satan, casting down the false wisdom of this world. They are not mighty for our selfish desires and they are not mighty for the inactive. Paul writes –

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.” – 2 Cor. 10:3-6

As we do our job against evil, God will punish disobedience as Isaiah writes –

“Therefore, behold, I will again do a marvelous work Among this people,
A marvelous work and a wonder; For the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, And the understanding of their prudent men shall be hidden.” – Isa 29:14

Now as Satan is thrown to the earth he will go after the woman, Israel, and her offspring, the Christians. Israel will be given a place of safety in the wilderness for three and a half years and the saints will do war with the devil and they will overcome him.

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.” – Rev. 12:11

At some point in this seven year period the Lord will come for His people. The dead in Christ will be raised and we which are alive will rise to meet Him in the air. Will we have to face the Antichrist? Jesus taught “when you see the abomination of desolation”, which the Antichrist does and Paul said we would see the ‘man of sin’ revealed (2 Thes. 2:3). When the rapture will occur I cannot say, God knows, but this I am sure of – we are meant to battle the devil and his kingdom and God has equipped us for it.

We have been given the Holy Spirit just for this job –

1. We have been strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man – Eph. 3:16
2. Christ dwells in our heart through faith and greater is He that is in us then he that is in the world! – Eph. 3:17
3. We are to know and understand the love of Christ – Eph. 3:19
4. We are filled with the fullness of God – Eph. 3:19
5. The power that is at work in us is able to do more than we can imagine – Eph. 3:20

We can overcome the devil by the blood of the Lamb, by the word of our testimony, and by surrendering our lives to God. He has given us the right to prayer by which we can wield the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Remember God watches over His word to bring it to pass. And we have worship, which Satan desires, but which we can give to God as Jesus did when Satan desired His worship –

“And Jesus answered and said to him, “Get behind Me, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve.’ ”
