A few months ago I wrote an article titled True Freedom in which I presented the only true freedom there is, the freedom Jesus Christ gives.

“It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.” – Gal. 5:1 (NASB)

That freedom is under attack by the progressives on the left, mostly Democrats. They are attacking your freedom to speak. A high school cheerleading squad in North Carolina was put on probation Monday for posing with a pro-President Trump banner at a football game.

“Members of the North Stanly High School squad posed for photos with the “Trump 2020: Make America Great Again” flag at an Aug. 30 game on “American Night” — in which students were encouraged to dress patriotically, the Stanly News & Press reported.”

Vice President Joe Biden seeks to bar Giuliani from TV news, after Trump lawyer alleges possible Biden corruption. If they don’t like what you are saying, they will seek to shut you up!

The Obama administration argues that the First Amendment provides no protection for churches and synagogues in hiring their pastors and rabbis. – January 2012. Pastor Louie Giglio is pressured to remove himself from praying at the inauguration for Obama after it is discovered he once preached a sermon supporting the Biblical definition of marriage. – January 2013. The Obama administration releases its new health care rules that override religious conscience protections for medical workers in the areas of abortion and contraception. – August 2011. 2010 – While every White House traditionally issues hundreds of official proclamations and statements on numerous occasions, this Obama White House avoids traditional Biblical holidays and events but regularly recognizes major Muslim holidays, as evidenced by its 2010 statements on Ramadan, Eid-ul-Fitr, Hajj, and Eid-ul-Adha. These attacks, and many more, are highlighted in an article by David Barton titled America’s Most Biblically-Hostile U. S. President. 

Wisconsin Democratic Governor Tony Evers is seeking to limit Due Process and our Second Amendment rights as he is trying to confiscate guns and  criminalize private transfers. The Democrats seek to advance so called Red Flag laws for all the States, except, they don’t want gangs included.

“Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee amended the measure during a Wednesday mark-up to authorize the federal government to issue extreme risk protection orders in some instances, but they rejected an amendment that would have red-flagged anyone who law enforcement lists as a gang member.” Democrats Don’t Want Red Flag Laws Applied To Gang Members.

They want this law to apply to anyone with “white nationalist” views but, not to gang members. Sounds fishy to me.

Democrat presidental hopeful Beto wants to confiscate all guns, Elisabeth Warren’s The “Accountable Capitalism Act” would place all businesses with more than $1 billion in revenue under complete and total federal control. The feds would dictate to these businesses the composition of their boards, the details of internal corporate governance, compensation practices, personnel policies, and much more. Kamala Harris calls for suspension of Trump’s Twitter account. This sounds to me more like the Nazi Party than any American party. They want to control all aspects of your life – so much for freedom.

There are those in the Church that are also of the same ilk, Pope Francis among them. A veteran Vatican journalist has revealed that a Vatican whistleblower told him that Pope Francis is ‘provoking’ a schism in the Catholic Church. Arch Bishop Carlo Maria Vigano stated

“In the eyes of the world, that will support the Vatican’s claims that anything orthodox is ‘outside the Church.’ It is almost a perfect ploy for secular governments intent on eliminating Christianity from any public presence and moral conscience of the world.”

“Some of these critics think the teaching of the Pope, or those chosen and supported by him, has reached the level of heresy — the level of contradicting defined Catholic doctrine,”

Moynihan,  founder and editor-in-chief of Inside the Vatican magazine, warned that Pope Francis and his circle may have underestimated how much the “world” hates the Church.

“Very powerful secular forces seem anxious to subject the Church to their worldly agenda, which begins as a call for “mercy” and ends with an attack on all traditional Christian doctrinal and moral teaching,” he wrote.

In other words they are seeking to subdue any orthodox Catholics from freely speaking. Much the same way that the leftist progressives in the Democrat Party are seeking to stop the speech of any who disagree with them.

The religious leaders of Jesus’ day also attempted to stop the Disciples from speaking about Jesus also.

“But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves, saying, “What shall we do to these men? For, indeed, that a notable miracle has been done through them is evident to all who dwell in Jerusalem, and we cannot deny it. But so that it spreads no further among the people, let us severely threaten them, that from now on they speak to no man in this name.” – Acts 4:15-17

Sounds just like the Democrats today. But the Disciples answered –

“But Peter and John answered and said to them, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than to God, you judge. For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.” – Acts 4:19,20

Likewise, we too must ‘Stand Fast’ in the freedom given to us by Jesus and our Constitution. We must expose their lies by speaking the truth.
