We Christians are living in Biblical times and we are witnessing what King David witnessed, as he wrote in Psalms –

Hide me from the secret plots of the wicked, From the rebellion of the workers of iniquity, Who sharpen their tongue like a sword, And bend their bows to shoot their arrows—bitter words, That they may shoot in secret at the blameless; Suddenly they shoot at him and do not fear. They encourage themselves in an evil matter; They talk of laying snares secretly; They say, “Who will see them?” They devise iniquities: “We have perfected a shrewd scheme.” Both the inward thought and the heart of man are deep.  – Ps. 64:1-6

Our government is filled with ‘the secret plots of the wicked’ and they have found a resting place mostly in the Democrat Party, although there are also some RINOs in the Republican Party as well. The swamp in Washington DC is deeper than anyone imagined. ‘They shoot in secret at the blameless’ is what they did with the entire Russian collusion accusations they hatched against President Trump. And Liz Cheney is one RINO that joined their ranks to impeach him in a rebellious effort. Top-ranking Army Gen. Mark Milley even went so far as to deny President Trump the ‘nuclear football’ during his last days as president.  Milley feared in the wake of the 2020 election that then-President Donald Trump or his allies might attempt a military coup to stay in power, according to a new book from two Pulitzer Prize-winning reporters. Milley, in his efforts to push ‘wokeness’ on the military has forgotten his duty as a military officer to obey the chain of command and he should be court marshalled!

And we have seen how leftists Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer have tried to build the supposed January 6th event at Capital Hill into a full-scale rebellion. It has now been proven to all be a big lie, something the Democrats are good at! Another case in point is the recall election of Democrat Gavin Newsom in California where non-citizens were allowed to vote. They say, “Who will see us” as they have the media in their pocket and they will not report such illegal voting practices.

They say, “We have perfected a shrewd scheme” to gain power and to bring down the United States. And they have lots of willing dupes to help them. Businesses and Banks are giving away America’s secrets to Communist China, all in their effort to make money! Colleges and research groups also give away our intellectual property for money to China. These things are exactly what King David is writing about. Our current leaders are either blind to it or they are part of it!

They are willing to sacrifice the truth for the sake of unrighteous gain and have thus fallen into the trap the Apostle Paul writes about –

The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. – 2 Thes. 2:9-12

Because they do not believe the truth and have pleasure in unrighteousness, God is sending them a spirit of strong delusion. That is the reason they gave up Bagram Airforce Base, prematurely pulling out of Afghanistan, leaving billions of weapons as well as American citizens and Afghanistan supporters behind! Biden and his cohorts foolishly thought that would end the war but it will not – it is only beginning! Repercussions of this pull out are far reaching, from the coming increase in Chinese warlike actions, Russia’s increase in boldness, Africa’s fall to Communism, China building new bases in South America, and the increase in terror in the Middle East and America! Grant Newsham of Epoch Times writes an excellent article on this titled What Happens in Afghanistan Doesn’t Stay in Afghanistan.

But David did not leave us with these thoughts of defeat and despair, he left us with a message of hope!

But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; Suddenly they shall be wounded. So He will make them stumble over their own tongue; All who see them shall flee away. All men shall fear, And shall declare the work of God; For they shall wisely consider His doing. The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and trust in Him. And all the upright in heart shall glory. – Psalm 64:7-10

Joe Biden stumbles as he walks up Airforce One and he stumbles over his words as he tries to speak. Nancy Pelosi screams and rants as she tries to get her way. Even CNN is lost for words over the Afghanistan debacle. God is working behind the scenes in His Church to separate the faithful from the hypocrites and He is building a fire under His faithful.

As the prophet Daniel predicted, a stone is being cut that is growing into a mountain and will crush the feet of all those who stand against God.

“This image’s head was of fine gold, its chest and arms of silver, its belly and thighs of bronze, its legs of iron, its feet partly of iron and partly of clay. You watched while a stone was cut out without hands, which struck the image on its feet of iron and clay, and broke them in pieces. Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver, and the gold were crushed together, and became like chaff from the summer threshing floors; the wind carried them away so that no trace of them was found. And the stone that struck the image became a great mountain and filled the whole earth.” – Dan. 2:32-35

We, who trust in the Lord and stand strong, following Him no matter what, will see the victory over the evil politicians that are standing against the Lord and His truth! So, arise and shine child of God, get equipped in the full armor of the Lord and go forth into victory!
