“The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork. Day unto day utters speech, And night unto night reveals knowledge.” – Psalm 19:1, 2

When God created the heavens, He said. “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years; and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth”; and it was so. Ever since his creation, man has been studying the stars to predict the seasons, to navigate the seas, and to know the signs of the times. The Biblical Wise Men knew the Messiah was born by the signs they saw in the stars. And Biblical prophets have predicted the future by the signs they saw in the heavens. In fact, the entire Gospel is told in the Constellations, as is related by Joseph Seiss in his book The Gospel in the Stars.

One interesting constellation is Ophiuchus, a strong man holding a Serpent with one foot on Scorpio, who is a representation of Satan thus crushing his head. The Serpent is straining to get the Crown (Corona Borealis) but is being restrained by Ophiuchus. This tells the story of the Church who is given the task of restraining the devil and keeping him from stealing the Crown. Jesus wrote to the Church of Philadelphia –

“Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown.” – Rev. 3:11

And Paul wrote –

“Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.” – 2 Tim. 4:8

God will allow Ophiuchus to keep restraining until he is removed in God’s set time. According to Paul –

“And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.” – 2 Thes. 2:6-8

Some have taken this Scripture to mean that the Church will be raptured before the Antichrist is revealed but, it does not specifically says this, only that the restrainer is removed. We know that a time is coming when God will allow the Antichrist to make war with the saints and overcome them (Rev. 13:7) so this could be the ‘taken out of the way’ that is being talked about.

The Constellations are meant for signs, for clocks to tell us about the times we live in. God uses them to reveal His actions to mankind and God has also given seven Biblical Feasts to do the same thing. What is of special note is when both the heavenly signs and the Feasts coincide. The Biblical Feasts of the Lord are these –

1. Passover – we have failed to meet God’s standards and need a Redeemer to help us, One who is without sin who is willing to pay the price for our sin which is death.
2. Unleavened bread – to walk in this covenant relationship we need to embrace God’s holiness and purge worldly sin from our lives.
3. First Fruits – we must put God first in all that we do as our Redeemer did.
4. Pentecost – we are to bear fruit for the Lord but we need a heavenly endowment of power to do it so, God will send a Comforter to be with us forever.
5. Trumpets – we are watchmen for the lord and are always to be on alert against the enemy. God also warns us of His soon appearing to make sure we are ready.
6. Day of Atonement – we need to remember there is a day of judgment coming and we are responsible to prepare our lives. Only we can do it through repentance and belief.
7. Tabernacles – to remind us that God is faithful and He is coming to dwell with His people. He will rule on the earth for a thousand years to show all what God’s Rest looks and feels like.

The first and the seventh feasts are of special importance because they represent the first coming of Jesus and His second coming. Of heavenly signs, Blood Red Moons are also of special importance representing God’s actions toward the nation of Israel, and Eclipses are important signs toward the Gentile nations. Blood Red Moons occur frequently but four Blood Red Moons (a Tetrad) occur only occasionally, and they rarely occur exactly on the Feast Days of Passover and Tabernacles. We know that Jesus fulfilled the first four Feasts exactly during His first coming. He died on the cross on Passover, He laid in the grave three days representing Unleavened Bread, He arose on the third day representing First Fruits, and He sent the Holy Spirit on Pentecost.

Now, if Jesus fulfilled the first four Feasts exactly with His first coming, it is probable that He will fulfill the last three Feasts with His second coming. This is even more likely as we have been warned by the rare Biblical Blood Red Moon Tetrad occurring on the Feasts of Passover and Tabernacles in the years, 2014 and 2015 (only the eighth one to occur since Jesus was hanging on the Cross 2000 year ago). This is further accentuated by the fact that this year introduced the Jubilee year just as the year Jesus began His earthly ministry so long ago.

God continues using the heavens to show us signs to alert us of the times. In 2017, He fulfilled the Revelation 12 sign in the heavens –

“Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars. Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth.” – Rev. 12:1, 2

On September 23, 2017, the Constellation Virgo appeared over Jerusalem with the Sun under her head and the Moon under her feet. Above her head was a crown of 12 stars, 9 stars of the constellation Leo and 3 wandering stars or planets (Mercury, Mars, and Venus). The planet Jupiter (known as the King Planet) entered the womb of Virgo in November of 2016 and it entered into retrograde motion. Because the orbit of Jupiter is so large, to those on earth, who’s orbit is much smaller, it appears to be moving back and forth. This is called retrograde motion. Jupiter It left Virgo’s womb September 23, 2017, thus representing a normal human birth of 42 weeks minus a day and fulfilling the Revelation 12 prophesy for the first time.

The prophet Micah said Israel would be given up until ‘she which travailed hath brought forth’, in other words the blindness of the Jews is about to be lifted and that means the times of the Gentiles is soon over (Luke 21:24). It is no surprise that President Donald Trump appears on the scene declaring Jerusalem the capital of Israel and moving the US Embassy to Jerusalem and the Jews take it as a sign that the Temple is about to be built!

I will leave for another article what happens with the planet Jupiter as it leaves Virgo’s womb on its way to the constellation Taurus. And I will leave to another article about the huge eclipse that passed over the United States alone and another one to come in seven years over the United States.

God has been speaking in heavenly signs and wonders to those with eyes to see. The Virgo sign is warning of Tribulation to come and of a final restoration of Israel. The Lord has been doing it in steps; first the land, then Jerusalem, next the Temple, and then the veil being removed from their eyes. We are living in the last days and the Lord’s return is fast approaching – are you ready?
