We are facing a critical time in our history as the U.S. Constitution is under attack, both socially and politically. The U.S. Congress now holds 50-100 members that are socialists and communists and are working to change our Constitution. Then there are the Muslims also, who lend their support to the effort.
We could probably weather this attack because the American people are not yet won over by these leftist ideologues but, what is more disturbing is the growing number of Christian pastors who are also giving up their American heritage for the sake of the new morality, a morality that is designed by socialists and communists to weaken the moral fabric that supports America. Those few voices that are raised against this erosion are blocked by social media outlets and the news media. As a nation, we are becoming what the prophet Isaiah wrote –
The Prophet Isaiah
“Now go, write it on a tablet before them And inscribe it on a scroll, That it may serve in the time to come As a witness forever. For this is a rebellious people, false sons, Sons who refuse to listen To the instruction of the LORD; Who say to the seers, “You must not see visions”; And to the prophets, “You must not prophesy to us what is right, Speak to us pleasant words, Prophesy illusions. “Get out of the way, turn aside from the path, Let us hear no more about the Holy One of Israel.”
Therefore thus says the Holy One of Israel, “Since you have rejected this word And have put your trust in oppression and guile, and have relied on them, Therefore this iniquity will be to you Like a breach about to fall, A bulge in a high wall, Whose collapse comes suddenly in an instant,” – Isa. 30:8-13
“Speak to us pleasant words” is the message of all the so-called seeker friendly churches that care more about numbers and money than they care about the souls of those who come to them. While their pastors speak soothing words of peace and prosperity to them, adultery, divorce, fornication, drunkenness, and abortion and many other sinful practices are within their ranks. This is the picture John gives of the Harlot of Babylon who is drunk with the wine of her fornication –
“Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and spoke with me, saying, “Come here, I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters, with whom the kings of the earth committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth were made drunk with the wine of her fornication. … The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the filthiness of her fornication.” – Rev. 17:1-4
She is clothed with the robes of Christianity but is full of abominations and filthiness. This the false church as God sees it. And she will be judged. Where is this message of warning in the Churches of America?
The Lord is peace and rest but, you will find no peace or rest in this false church. Isaiah tells us the only way to find true rest –
“For with stammering lips and another tongue He will speak to this people, To whom He said, “This is the rest with which You may cause the weary to rest,” And, “This is the refreshing”; Yet they would not hear.” – Isa. 28:11, 12
This is the baptism of the Holy Spirit he is talking about. Paul later quotes this same verse when explaining the Baptism of the Holy Spirit (1 Cor. 14:21). The Lord is coming back soon and He has given us the Holy Spirit to seal us as His until His coming. Look to the Holy Spirit as your guide and teacher and not to a false church and false pastors who twist the words of God, and fail to call abominations what He calls abominations and forsake declaring the whole counsel of God to you.
As this nation was founded by Christians who were following the word of God, so it will only be preserved by following the words of God. I pray we will all put God and His words first in all our choices this year.
Prophecy for Today
