The New Years celebrations are over, leaving many with ‘hangover’ headaches. The news media continues to highlight every supposed failure of President Trump. Hollywood stars continue raking in the money for movies that trash Christianity and Christian morals. Government officials continue opposing any expressions favorable to God Almighty. The Democrats continue standing against any common sense solutions that may support Trump. In general the ‘gross darkness’ that the prophet Isaiah speaks about is here. But, God has a message for those who claim Christ –

“Arise, shine;  For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep (gross) darkness the people; But the LORD will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you. ” – Isa. 60:1,2

The Lord has risen over us who believe and His glory will be seen upon us if we continue following and believing as is written in Hebrews –

“Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; but exhort one another daily, while it is called “Today,” lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end, while it is said:

“Today, if you will hear His voice,
Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.” – Heb. 12-15

As 2019 begins, we should be aware that we are one year closer to the coming of the Lord. When He does come, how will He find us? Will we be walking in the light or in the darkness? Will we be about His work, healing the sick, casting out demons, preaching the good news of the soon coming kingdom of God. Will we be faithful to listen and follow the Holy Spirit’s urging as Jesus said –

“Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season? His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.'” – Matt. 25:21

“And he said to him, ‘Well done, good servant; because you were faithful in a very little, have authority over ten cities.’” – Luke 19:17

From 2010 through 2018 the Lord has given us many signs: Blood Red Moons occurring on the Feast days of Passover and Tabernacles, eclipses of the sun, the fulfillment of the Revelation 12 sign of Virgo, tremendous increase in earthquakes,  Christian martyrdom greater than all the time since Christ combined, as well as a Super Blood Red Moon in 2018, and nations of the Middle East preparing for war with Israel. All of these remind us of the final warnings of Jesus concerning His coming –

Then He said to them, “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven. But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons. You will be brought before kings and rulers for My name’s sake. …. And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.” – Luke 21:10-28

God is certainly speaking! It is time for those who believe to shake off the lethargy put on them by the spirit of Antichrist and arise and shine. For our light has come and He is coming again – SOON!
