I wrote in a previous article titled 2018 Days of Elijah that humanism is the deception of our generation. Humanism places man in the seat of God as the chief arbitrator of what is good and what is bad. “A typical deception of humanistic thinking is the belief that you can compartmentalize your life into separate boxes, such as political, financial, social, or religious. And that truth is somehow different for each box. That is partly why seemingly moral people can vote for politicians who represent philosophies they personally find abhorrent. The Democrat Party caters to those who disrespect the American flag and all it stands for except – the welfare benefits it gives. And they want immigration laws that allow more like-minded people into the country. Yet, I know many Democrats who served in the military and fought for and respect this same flag. Many Democrats hold Christian values yet they will vote for a Party that is 100% committed to populating the country with those who hate Christianity and want to wipe it out! The past Democrat President even boldly proclaimed that the United States is no longer a Christian nation. While most of them would acknowledge the preciousness of children, they willingly support the Democrat Party whose political platform proudly proclaimed that they are the abortion party. Now I picked Democrats because that party is so obvious in these symptoms and has been taken over by a left leaning faction that is more socialist-communist than american. But, there are also independents and republicans that hold similar views.”
Our secular (?) Public Education community loudly proclaims their stand for ‘separation of religion and government’ but they are liars! The only religion they seem to condemn is Christianity; other religions seem to get a free pass but not Christianity, in many schools children are forced to bow and pray to Allah for example.
But, perhaps the dominant religion practiced in public education is one they have expertly hidden – Humanism.
Is Humanism a Religion?
“The question we ask is important. For humanism is the world view of our educational leaders, of the textbooks they write, of the psychologists who counsel our youngsters on values, sex, and death. In short, it is the world view of the curricula used in the public schools. In fact, humanism forms the philosophical basis of what passes for teacher education in our state colleges and universities.
Establishments of Religion
Thus, if humanism is indeed a religion, then what we have in our public schools and state colleges and universities are government-supported establishments of religion, which are patently unconstitutional and therefore illegal.
In fact, it should be pointed out that on March 4, 1987, U.S. District Judge W. Brevard Hand, in Smith v. Boardof School Commissioners of Mobile County, Ala., ruled that secular humanism is a religion. The 172-page ruling defines religion and concludes, after reviewing the relevant aspects of humanism, that “For purposes of the First Amendment, secular humanism is a religious belief system, entitled to the protections of, and subject to the prohibitions of, the religious clauses.” quoted from Is Humanism a Religion? by Sam Blumenfeld, New American, Tue. 23 Feb. 2010
Jesus reminded the people that what they do is more important than what they say!
“Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” (humanism)– Mat. 15:7-9
As one popular song proclaims, “These are the days of Elijah”, and we need to hear once again the message of Elijah –
“And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.” – 1 Kings 18:21
The people answered ‘not a word’ and within a few years, Northern Israel perished!
In 2018, we in the United States are faced with the same question as they were – will we answer not a word, or will we determine to move back to our roots, banish so-called political correctness that commands us to accept the false gods of this world, and once again begin acting like the “city on a hill” we were founded to be? Remember salvation and victory belong to those who not only believe but also confess with their mouths –
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” – Rom. 10:9
For those who will trust in the Lord and proclaim His Name, the fire will once again fall from the sky and consume the offering as it did for Elijah. When the first outpouring of the Holy Spirit came on Pentecost, tongues of fire rested upon all the people present. Only, now it will come as refreshing rain. We are told that first Pentecost was the former rain but, there is coming an even greater latter rain to those who are seeking it.
“Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.” – James 5:7
“Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.” – Joel 2:23
“Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.” – Zec. 10:1
Jesus told over 500 disciples to wait for the 1st coming rain but when it came, only 120 were faithful. The Holy Spirit is not going to come to those who are not interested or to those who are not hungry for Him, but He will come to those who are earnestly seeking. I believe the latter rain is about to fall and indeed it may have already begun in other places in the world as the following video shows –
It seems the Holy Spirit is now sweeping across Israel to those who are open. I encourage you to pray for a ‘latter rain’ outpouring here as well. It is the only way we will overcome the enemies arrayed against us.
