The Blood Red Moons Revisited p2

brm2aTo fully understand the Year of Jubilee we must look at Leviticus.

The 7th month is Tishri, the first day of which is always a new moon, and it announces the Feast of Trumpets, the time of alarm and trouble for Israel. This year it falls on September 13th and is also the time of a complete eclipse, which announces trouble for the nations.

10 days later the Day of Atonement, which signaled the opening of the book of judgment in heaven. The trumpets are sounding the alarms of war and God is warning His people to get ready for the Day of Atonement. A key element of this warning is to restore the family!

Malachi prophesied—

“Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD, and he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.” – Malachi 4:7

In human history there only been a few foundational principles that allow man to prosper and they are; 1) a proper relationship to God Almighty – the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, 2) a steadfast commitment to a mate, 3) the intricate relationships of a family, and 4) the honoring of one’s word to God and others. In America and most of the western nations these principles have all been largely forsaken. This in itself is a strong prophetic warning that these nations are about to fall. The message of the Jubilee is to turn back, rebuild the family which is the foundation of your prosperity before it is too late. But, the question is how can we do this?

Into this perfect storm which the devil has engineered to destroy man, God promises to send hope – He will send the ministry of Elijah the prophet to restore fatherhood, turning the hearts of the children back to their fathers. This ministry also came just before the Lord Jesus appeared the first time and it will come again just before His second coming. The angel told Zacharias and Elisabeth about their coming son, John –

“He will also go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah,‘to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.” – Luke 1:17

How are we to do this? The answer is— “Not by might or by power, but by My Spirit,” says the LORD of hosts.”— Zechariah 4:6

latter rainJesus began His ministry by being filled with the Spirit, 50 days after His resurrection, His disciples began their ministry by being filled with the Holy Spirit, and I believe in the Year of Jubilee (the 50th year) we will be filled with the ‘latter rain’ which Joel and James prophesied about.

“Be glad then, you children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God; for He has given you the former rain faithfully, and He will cause the rain to come down for you— The former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.” – Joel 2:23

“Therefore be patient brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain. You also be patient, establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.” – James 5:7, 8

The time for this latter outpouring is drawing near and it may already be beginning as we hear of great outpourings in Muslim lands where whole villages are turning to Jesus and the revivals taking place in West Virginia. As Daniel prayed harder as he realized Jeremiah’s prophesied 70 years of captivity was nearing its end (Daniel 9:2) so we should earnestly ask for rain in this time of the latter rain –

“Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.” – Zechariah 10:1

number 10It is also significant that the Day of Atonement, which ushers in the Jubilee,  occurred 10 days after the Feast of Trumpets. Ten is viewed as a complete and perfect number, as are 3, 7 and 12. Ten is made up of 4, the number of the physical creation (Genesis 1:19), and 6, the number of man. It was also on the 10th of Tishri that Moses came down from Mt. Sinai with the Tablets of Law. As such, it signifies testimony, law, responsibility and the completeness of order.

The 10th day of the 7th month is the Holy Day known as the Day of Atonement. This unique day of fasting pictures the removal of Satan, the author of sin, before the Millennial reign of Jesus begins –

“And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years” – Revelation 20:1,2

Also, the last great world-ruling kingdom of man under Satan is also symbolized prophetically by the 10 toes of Daniel 2 and the 10 horns of Revelation 13 and 17. While Satan tries to imitate God, he and his plans are doomed to lose!

We have been revisiting the prophetic mysteries hidden in the Blood Red Moons that occurred in 2014 and 2015. They portend exciting times for those who are seeking God but to those who are rebellious against Him these same signs portend trouble and judgment. In the next article, I will introduce the Shemitah and the possible collapse of finance that it warns of.
